As a climate adaptation and resilience associate with Cadmus Group - an international strategic and technical consultancy focused on environmental issues and social good - Basaraba’s role in the Sustainability and Resilience Practice takes on a variety of functions including: translating climate science into policy at the federal, state, tribal, county, and municipal levels; developing equitable, local, and community-grounded climate adaptation and resilience solutions; supporting strategic engagement and outreach efforts using a decolonizing and equity lens; designing, leading, and facilitating community workshops in power with communities; developing and co-writing grant proposals; using climate science to conduct comprehensive climate vulnerability and risk assessments; and, designing, developing, and publishing a variety of visual communications tools.
